Three symposia, organized by postgraduate students of the Lifelong Learning Lab were accepted for presentation at the upcoming Academy of Management Annual Meeting taking place July 2025 in Copenhagen.


The symposium “Navigating Uncertainty: Psychological and Organizational Insights on AI and Digitalization” organized by Ming Tsang & Ryan Guo, will be sponsored by the Technology & Innovation Management (TIM), Organization Development & Change (ODC), and Organizational Behavior (OB) division.


The symposium “Age- and Gender-Related Barriers to Career Advancement and Leader Emergence”, organized by Isaaca Wang and Toby Tsang, will be sponsored by the Organization Behaviour (OB), Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI), and Human Resources (HR) divisions.


The symposium "Navigating Person-Environment Fit: Adapting to Challenges in Work and Career", organized by Eva So and Francisco Wilhelm (University of Bern, Switzerland), will be sponsored by the Careers, Human Resources, and Organizational Behavior division.


Moreover, postgraduate student Jerry Li will present a poster titled “Empowering Older Employees for the Increasingly Digitalized Workplace“ at the Professional Development Workshop titled “Aging and the Multi-age workforce: New Avenues for Research and Developing Evidence-based Practice” organized by the COST LeverAge Members Justin Markus and Ilke Inceoglu.


Lastly, Professor Julian Pfrombeck will share his insights on “Age-diverse knowledge transfer” in the Caucus “Healthy, Successful Ageing and Transition into Retirement” organized by Irmgard Mausz and Alexandra Weilhartner.

Julian Pfrombeck will present two ongoing projects at the upcoming Conference of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology in Denver. At the Intervention Science Pre-conference on February 20, 2025, he will give a blitz talk to share his work on "Turning the Tide: An Uncertainty Mindset Intervention to Improve the Job Search Experience of the Unemployed". At the main conference, he will present a data blitz on the project "From the Top We See Further: Social Hierarchy and Occupational Future Time Perspective."
